Mandalas & microcosms of the universe
A mandala is a plan which symbolically represents the microcosm of the universe from an enlightened perspective.
The creation of this mandala is inspired by a site visit to the extraordinary UNESCO World Heritage Site – Ajanta Caves. This mandala is based on the Buddhist concept of a “Rainbow Body”. It is referred to a the penultimate transitional state of meditation, where matter begins to transform into pure light.
